ADT
Built for off-road conditions, ADTs are the ideal choice for remote or rugged haulage tasks. Discover how ASI can link multiple ADTs together in a highly productive autonomous haulage system.
DOZER
Bulldozers are equipped to perform the most grueling earthmoving tasks. Learn how ASI’s autonomous vehicle technology can optimize dozer performance for tasks like area coverage, ripping, and slot dozing.
EXCAVATOR
Excavators are an essential element to most construction and construction operations. With millions of tons of material moved, ASI’s robotic excavator technology is proven to enhance safety and productivity.
RIGID HAUL TRUCK
Large, rigid haulers are the backbone of many construction haulage systems. Find out how you can enhance driver capabilities, safety, and productivity through autonomous haul truck technology.
How It Works
Our autonomous solution is a system of robotic components that easily install into any ADT, converting it from manual to an autonomous construction haulage unit. Since most modern units are controlled by-wire, our system leverages the ADTs existing CAN Bus system to direct vehicle functions. This way, it can control the transmission, steering, acceleration, and braking, and monitor real-time vehicle health indicators.
In some ADTs, steering is still a mechanical function. ASI installs an electro-mechanical steering actuator to perform steering maneuvers.
The Automation Pathway
With a seamless upgrade path, you can start with one or more vehicles and then scale at your own pace.
Using line-of-sight and remote control, operators control unmanned ADTs from a safe distance away, avoiding contact with unstable terrain, falling debris, and other hazards.
Add cameras and software to upgrade from remote control to teleoperation. With teleop, operators enjoy improved safety and flexibility as they control one or more ADTs from a remote location.
Transform your earth-moving operation with command & control software reinforced by the latest A.I. Enhance scalability by allowing one operator to handle a fully automated haulage system.
The Haulage A.I.
The Haulage A.I. leverages advanced multi-vehicle command and control software to set up and manage a coordinated system of autonomous construction ADTs, haul trucks, excavators and dozers. The Haulage A.I. keeps all trucks consistently tasked, queues waiting vehicles, and regulates the haul cycle in the most efficient way possible.
About Autonomous Construction ADTs from ASI
With construction automation technology, ADT operators can experience dramatic improvements in construction site safety and load haulage productivity.
The articulated dump truck (ADT) is designed for rugged, off-road site environments, and represents one of the most versatile hauling components in any construction fleet.
ASI is experienced in automating a variety of ADT makes and models.
About Robotic Dozers from ASI
Built rugged and powerful, bulldozers perform some of the most grueling earth-moving tasks for construction operations. Step away from the dull, gritty and dangerous with the teleop and remote control dozer.
Equipped with remote control and teleoperated dozers, operators can now safely and efficiently perform critical construction tasks such as leveling and scooping soil, moving rocks and debris, among many others.
ASI is an experienced construction automation partner with multiple dozer types on our resume.
About Robotic Excavators from ASI
Excavators are a pivotal piece to nearly any construction operation and perform multiple heavy lifting tasks.
Mechanical shovels equipped with vehicle automation technology can operate in unstable or otherwise unsafe areas while at the same time improving efficiency and productivity.
ASI delivered six remote control excavators to operate on unstable terrain following a landslide at a large open pit mine.
About Robotic Haul Trucks from ASI
From 40 to 400 ton capacities, the rigid haul truck is the backbone of most major construction operations. Autonomous haulage technology creates dramatic improvements in mine safety and productivity.
Automated haul truck technology scales from a single robotic vehicle to a site-wide network including multiple trucks and handles tasks for short or long haul routes and precision load placement.
